At MMGY Global, I support B2B growth marketing for a global travel, tourism, and hospitality marketing agency by executing content, newsletter, SEO, social, and event initiatives that drive engagement and demand. I manage and optimize MMGY’s corporate websites (mmgy.com, mmgyglobal.com, mmgyintel.com), implementing SEO and GEO enhancements that increased organic traffic by 22% and newsletter sign-ups by 18%. I create and distribute the Quick Takes on Travel and News Beat newsletters for U.S. and European audiences, growing subscribers by 25%, increasing open rates by 15% YoY, and driving a 20% lift in engagement through thought leadership, research, and conference-driven content. I also oversee daily social media operations across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, doubling MMGY’s social media presence within one year while increasing engagement rate by 20%, and support conference strategy and post-event lead follow-up for high-profile industry events like the Mojo Summit.

After graduating in 2020, I landed a position at my dream company, under the rocket, as a Social Media Manager. Barkley is the Top 3 Creative Marketing Agencies in Kansas City. Here I got to work with a plethora of large name brands. I deveoped and managed social content across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok). I wrote weekly and monthly analytical reports with KPI’s to develop strategies for future campaigns. One of the best opportunities here was collaborating with influencers and celebrities for branded promotional campaigns. I stayed updated on the latest trends for brands to partake in and receive more exposure. With all of the wheels turning, one of our clients pioneered and had record sales during the pandemic (40% higher than pre pandemic).

Main Clients I’ve Worked With:

Fogo de Chão

Winnebago

OMD Singapore

In the summer of 2019 I went through a study abroad program with the University of Kansas for two months to intern with OMD Singapore. As an Executive Intern with them, I was responsible to work on projects with different teams that needed an extra hand. This internship experience has given me a broader perspective in my professional career, especially working in another country with different cultures and backgrounds. Some of the different projects and teams I have worked with are: McDonald’s, Nivea, Singtel, and Hermès.

McDonald’s

With the McDonald’s team I have learned the importance of creating an insight. With a vast amount of market research, I have helped with the creation of insights for different promotional products such as: the ebi burger and the samurai burger. I have also helped find outdoor advertising areas with a given budget and seen them go live during the beginning of the campaign.

Nivea

The Nivea team sparked my mind to become intensely creative. Given one Photoshop file, my mission was to turn a still image into a moving image. I animated over 20+ different layers to get the finished product above. I have also been given the chance to help produce their commercial by post editing their videos with the different clips. This picture animation and video then became a live Facebook ad all over the Southeast Asia region.

Singtel

Singtel is the largest telecommunications company in Singapore with rising competitors such as StarHub and M1. The Singtel team was more analytical than the other teams. I had to write a summarized one page copy of post campaign reports as well as create power points. The team taught me on how to analyze the numbers and how that impacts our future decisions doing business with Singtel.

The best part was that I got the chance to public speak and present my “Visual Vlogs #3 OMD Worldwide” to the entire company and got to really know everyone. The company culture was amazingly incredible.

As the Director of Social Media for Hawaiian Bros since September 2018, I oversaw all the social media platform and advertising campaigns for Hawaiian Bros. This includes all of the Facebook pages, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I came up with campaign strategies, created paid advertisements, shot videos, met with clients, and collaborated with other creators to contribute to the brand. I initiated and led “Grand Opening” promotional strategies for new restaurant locations across the nation, which contributed to breaking the company’s sales records between 2018 and 2020.”

J29Creative

In the summer of 2020 I received an internship with an awesome Kansas City digital marketing agency called J29Creative. As a Digital Marketing Intern with them, I was responsible for spearheading an internal media project. I worked closely with the CEO and the Business Development Manager to bring their ideas/concepts to reality. Their online live show on LinkedIn, “Zero to Hero” is something that has never been done before on the professional social platform channel. I helped them jump start their show—from designing their logo, creating trailers/teasers, and then market it. This internship experience gave me a broader perspective on being a leader and bringing a project to life.

Maintaining a close relationship with the founder and his family, I worked with them again in 2022. I traveled nationally to produce prfessional corporate style videos. I also developed and managed social content on Twitter for small businesses. I was on the “main team” and also helped create strategies for the small agency to attract future potential clients in order to create revenue for the company.

Asian American Student Union

Asian American Student Union was founded to promote Asian and Asian American culture and serve as an inclusive community at the University of Kansas. I was just an ordinary member that went to meetings for two months and ended up making the club’s executive board video of the year by reaching out to the president. After recording and editing everything the video was up on stage during the final moments of our Taste of Asia variety show to end the show with all board members of that year + me on stage.

I then became a board member and was the historian for 2019. I have also raised over $1500+ through fundraisers for the organization. This inclusive community has helped me grow as a leader and find my Midwest Asian-American identity.
